Boston Logan Airport - Transportation

BUS - Boston Logan Express

It is a nonstop bus service that goes between Framingham, Braintree, Woburn and Peabody to Boston airport.


Logan Express has available a parking at each location and connects directly with all the terminals at the airport.

Travel time is about 40-45 minutes.


Back Bay Logan Express provides connection between the airport and the Downtown Boston.


Passengers can catch nonstop service between the airport and Back Bay neighborhood: from Framingham, Braintree, Woburn and Peabody.


Shuttle Bus

MBTA Blue Line: There is available free shuttle bus service that runs between all the terminals at Boston Airport as well as to the Airport Station.

Buses run every 6 minutes.



- 22: Links Terminal A and B to the Subway Station and to the car rental center as well.

- 33: Links Terminal C and E to the Subway Station and to the car rental center as well.

- 55: Provides service to all terminals + Subway Station + Rental Car Center

- 66: Provides service to all terminals, subway station, LOC and Water Transportation Dock.


Every Shuttle bus route has different schedules. Please, ask at the airport.


Other services:

- 11: Provides service to all terminals but doesn’t stop at the Subway Station.

- 88: Provides service to all the terminals and links with the Economy Parking


Water Shuttles and Taxis

As Boston airport is near the water, there are available water shuttles and water taxis that links with Downtown Boston and other places. It is a good way to enjoy the views.


Shuttle bus number 66 offers service (for free) between the Boston Dock and all the terminals.



The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) provides different routes to and from Logan airport.


Blue Line Subway and Silver Line Bus Rapid Transit service run between BOS airport and Downtown Boston. It is one of the most cheaper ways to get transportation.


SL1 - Silver Line to/from Boston Airport

Connects with the the Red Line and the Commuter Rail (at South Station)


To reach Boston airport via SL1, passengers may take the Red Line or the Commuter Rail and go to South Station direction. In this station passengers may transfer to SL1.


Silver Line 1 (Boston airport - South Station) is the best way to connect with the Red Line at South Station. For passengers that want to go to Cambridge, Harvard University, City Center of Boston, General Hospital (Massachusetts) and MIT.


SL1 runs from 5.30am to 12.30am daily and is accessible for passengers with disabilities.

Passengers may know that there is not available the shuttle transfer service.


Blue Line to/from Boston Airport

Connects with the Green Line, Orange Line and Commuter Rail at North Station


To reach Boston airport via Blue Line, passengers may take the Blue Line and pick up (free) the Massport shuttle bus service (numbers 22, 33, or 55) that are available at all the terminals.


For passengers that want to go to Boston College, Back Bay, Boston University, Brookline, Downtown Boston, Fenway Park, Newton, The Longwood Medical Area, Northeastern University Blue Line is probably one of the best options.


In addition, is ideal to connect with the Orange Line (State Street Station).

Blue Line is operative from 6.00am to 12.30am daily.


Commuter Boat and Ferry to/from the Airport

The Commuter Boat Terminal is located at Fore River Shipyard, 703 Washington Street in Quincy, or from Pemberton Point in Hull and there are ferries that go to the airport.

When arriving at the Boston airport dock, passengers may take the free shuttle bus “Massport Number 66”, which runs to all the terminals at the airport.


The Commuter Boat service from Quincy: provides service daily.

Hull services operate only during the week.

Overnight parking at Quincy is possible and there are discounts on the rates.

Taxis and Limos

Taxi ranks are located in the arrivals level of each terminal. All vehicles are metered. If do you need a taxi accessible by wheelchairs, please, request the service before arrive at the airport.


To go to Downtown Boston fare is between $25-$45 (depending of the hour and the day) and do not include gratuity or tolls. Travel Time is about 15-25 minutes.
